Meet Aruuke

Aruuke is currently a PhD student at Stanford University in the history department. Her ongoing research delves into the Transnational Sufi networks of the 18th century, reflecting her deep commitment to religious studies, as well as Russian and Ottoman history.

She earned her Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, along with International Relations, from Istanbul University. She further advanced her academic career by completing her Master's degree at the Higher School of Economics in St.Petersburg, where she presented her dissertation on "Traditional Islam: Securitization of Muslims in Russia."
